The TREAD is a compact yet full-featured printed circuit board (PCB) for the LM317 family of linear regulator ICs.
Features of the TREAD design:
Very small board: 1.95" × 1.1" (approx. 5 cm × 3 cm)
Uncompromised performance
Works with any of the LM317 family regulators including the LDO variants. (LM1086, LT1085...)
Available as a kit or a professional circuit board, 1.5 oz copper
Two boards can be combined to make a dual supply (e.g. ±15 V)
Adjustable output voltage
Regulator at board edge to allow bolting board to large heat sinks
Accepts both AC and DC power sources
Produces smooth, linear-regulated DC power
